Network Yacht Brokers (NYB) is ideally situated in the beautiful Port Ginesta Marina, just a short distance from Barcelona City centre. Rob Woodward, the company director, has worked all over Europe for the past 20 years. Rob and his business partner Chiara run the office in Port Ginesta; they pride themselves on offering a professional service to clients while maintaining friendly personal contact at all times.
Rob says “I hope you discover a little about us on this page. We are waiting to meet you and want to help you enjoy the sport of boating. We love to talk about boats sharing our experience in this great industry.
It was way back in the ’90s when I realised I had a passion for boating. First, it was waterskiing on Lake Windermere in the UK, before buying a yacht and moving to North Wales. After that, RYA courses came along and by the time I had finished my Yacht Master Theory I was hooked as they say. During many years of sailing the Irish Sea from Wales, I logged thousands of miles. I became a Radar Instructor, Marine Diesel Instructor, earned a D.O.T. Certificate of competence as Yacht-Master and then finally I became a Yacht Master Instructor.
A few years later I bought the brokerage business in North Wales becoming a shareholder of Network Yacht Brokers Group. I ran this for many years as the Conwy NYB office successfully. In 2012 I became Chairman of the NYB Group. After 24 years in the UK marine industry, I decided to make Barcelona my home. Therefore, I moved my business to Port Ginesta Marina where I now work with my business partner Chiara Campagnaro. From our office in Spain, we manage the Network Yacht Brokers Group. Our plan moving forward is to present the Group business model to companies large and small in Europe. If you are interested in becoming a Yacht Broker, perhaps adding value to an existing business, please feel free to get in touch.
A short video about Menai Bridge in North Wales. It was my home for almost twenty years. You should take the time to visit. This is one of the most challenging places to learn to sail in the world.
I finished my language studies in Italy some years ago. Driven by my desire to travel and find a company that I could join to stimulate my interests in languages, marketing and boating, I decided to look at relocating to Barcelona.
I have always loved this city; it’s an indisputable fact that the quality of life is exceptional in Catalonia. The climate, food, architecture of this amazing city and its proximity to the sea and mountains make Barcelona a perfect place for me to thrive.
Fortune favours the brave (as the English say), on arrival I found and then quickly joined Network Yacht Brokers Barcelona. A new S.L. company being set up in Port Ginesta Marina. What a fantastic place this is to work, situated close to the famous Carnival town of Sitges and just ten minutes from Barcelona Airport.
Being Italian from Venice, I now find myself driven by a passion for boating. I often think back to how lucky I was when I made the hard decision to leave my home. My life now revolves around helping our company grow and also helping to look after the wider Network Yacht Brokers Group.
